The dialogue between different religions

Within just a few years the Sadhana Ashram has become a constant reference place for people of diverse religious faiths and cultures.

The Ashram organises many encounters with religious exponents and scholars of various faiths with the aim of achieving a synthesis of the teachings of their different religions.

In India science and religion are not basically opposed as they often appear to be in the West. They are considered components of the same great search for the truth and illumination which inspired the sages of Hinduism as it did those of Buddhist and Jam faith. According to the Hindu scientific attitude, therefore, the comprehension of outer reality is strictly correlated to that of the Supreme Being.

This is why our commitment is to make of the Ashram a place where Hindus, Muslims, Christians and Jews can live in harmony, brought together by the search for truth and universal brotherhood.

Let us begin to interrogate ourselves on the most profound meaning of life: in fact, in order to satisfy our demands, we need to follow spiritual practices if we wish to find a solution to the problems connected with our inner life.

Whenever we meet together in the Ashram, for however long or short a period it may be, we must make the strongest possible effort to discover our potential, with our spirit immersed in the hope that all will turn out as well as it can.
